Our Life
Privacy
Last updated September 19, 2026
Our Life is a private space for one household. There is no public sign-up; the only accounts belong to the members of that household. It has no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and it does not send anything it holds to an AI service.
Google Calendar
A household member can choose to connect their own Google account so that the week’s commitments appear alongside the household’s planning notes. The connection asks Google for read-only access to calendars and events. Our Life cannot create, change or delete events, and it never sends invitations.
After connecting, that person chooses which calendars belong in the shared view. Event details are read only from the calendars they select, only for the next fourteen days, and only when someone chooses calendars or asks for a refresh. Nothing is read in the background.
For each event Our Life keeps its title, start and end, whether it lasts all day, whether it is confirmed, tentative or canceled, when it was last updated, a link back to the event in Google Calendar, and the name of the calendar it came from. It does not keep descriptions, guest lists, locations or meeting links.
Where it is kept and who can see it
What is read is stored in the household’s own private database, hosted with Supabase, and shown through this site, hosted with Vercel. Only signed-in members of the household can see it. It is not sold, not shared with anyone else, and not used for any purpose other than showing the household its own week.
The credential that lets Our Life read from Google is encrypted, kept on the server, and never sent to a browser or included in an export.
Disconnecting
The person who connected Google can disconnect at any time from Room this week. Disconnecting deletes the stored credential and asks Google to revoke the access. Access can also be removed from the Google account itself, under its third-party connections. Schedules that were read earlier remain part of the household’s own private record, which the household controls and can export.
Google’s user data policy
Our Life’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Questions
Our Life is run by the household that uses it. Questions go to the household member who looks after it.
